Department of Animal Science Engineering

History and Mission

Department of Animal Sciences Engineering started working in 1397 with two faculty members in bachelor Degree .

Animal Science Engineering is a branch of agricultural engineering that deals with breeding, breeding and management of livestock. This field, formerly called animal husbandry, provides good information about raising livestock and poultry, fish and bees. In addition, other topics such as the study of physiology, nutrition and breeding of livestock in this field are considered.

Goals of the Animal Science Engineering Department”

The aim of this field is to increase economic production by observing the aspects of health and management principles in animal husbandry and related products, achieving self-sufficiency in preparing animal protein required by the country, animal fiber production, leather production for all types of leather, energy production for agricultural work and transportation and recreational uses such as horseback riding.

The most important abilities of graduates in this field are familiarity with related agricultural industries, skills in theoretical and practical topics of animal production and breeding, food safety, ethical aspects of quality and safety of protein food, animal welfare, changing old methods and combining Theoretical and practical industrial skills pointed out.

Perspectives of the Department of Animal Sciences

Achieving a regional position in the production of healthy food and protein products and supplements and providing new sources of fodder and nutrition for livestock and poultry

* Ensuring food security and producing healthy food products

* Production of new biomedicines and dietary supplements.

*Focus on finding alternative food and protein sources for soy and corn for livestock and poultry.
